1.Conflict

2.Impact

3.Proximity

4.Timeliness

5.Currency

6.Prominence

7. Bizarreness

The reason I put conflict at number one is because stories that a journalist writes can cause problems for people. Journalists usually write their story that they create and release it to the public, meanwhile, the public can read that story, and if that story is about something bad that a certain person or public figure did, the people can send massive amounts of hate to that person, or in this generation, they can get canceled. Usually, people try to cancel celebrities for very minor reasons, but they are most likely not enough to cancel someone per se.

The reason I put bizarreness last is not because it’s the least important thing, but just because no matter what a journalist puts out, it will get people to look at it. It is very hard putting this at the last spot considering the fact that the more bizarre something is, the more people will view the story, but if you put everything together in this list, I think bizarreness makes the most sense because sometimes it’s not all about the views that a story gets, it’s about the quality of it and if it is worthy enough to be sent out to the public.
